Soft drinks are fun. Fizzy. Tasty. Refreshing. But… have you checked the label?

😳 Let’s talk sugar. The American Heart Association recommends no more than:

    • 25g of sugar/day for women

    • 36g/day for men

    Now look at this:
🥤 Fanta Peach (20 oz bottle):
67g of sugar = nearly 3x daily limit for women
    → 250 calories, 80mg sodium

    🥤 Pineapple Crush (12 oz):
    51g of sugar
    → 190 calories

    Yikes. That’s not “refreshing”—it’s a sugar bomb.

Here’s what you can do instead:

    1. 🧑‍🍳 Make your own soda at home!
Try recipes using sparkling water + fresh juice or ginger. Use a soda maker for fun and control.

    2. 🛒 Buy smarter
Some “healthier” sodas have popped up—low-calorie, caffeine-free, natural ingredients. Like Coca-Cola Life: 90 calories, 24g sugar per can. Still sugary, but better than regular cola (which has ~39g).

🔍 Bottom line: “fruit soda” ≠ fruit. The sugar’s still there. The fizz doesn’t hide it.
