Gevi 4-in-1 is a high-end automatic pour-over coffee machine. Its design and features are unique in the market.

Coffee lovers have praised it since its launch. They love its versatility, stability, and wide range of functions.

Some users said the UI felt a bit complex. Our team noticed this feedback on Reddit.

We formed a group to improve the UI. After months of work, we made it simpler and clearer.

The new UI works well for beginners and experts. It keeps all the original features.

The updated 1705 is now available for pre-order. We’re sharing this process to show GEVi’s commitment to real user experience.

Hi there, thanks for reaching out! I checked your email but couldn’t find an order for the Gevi 4-in-1. If you bought it during our pre-sale, then you’ve got the new version with the updated UI. If you’re one of the early users with the first-generation UI and you’re interested in creating some content with us, we’d be happy to invite you to try the new version. Let us know if that sounds good to you!

But is it possible to put that UI update on my machine?

If not, what good is it?

How Our Team Rebuilt the 4-in-1 Experience

We began by focusing on the three core functions: weighing, grinding, and brewing.

Our goal was to streamline the logic behind each step, starting with reducing the number of instructional prompts.

For example, we made certain tips appear only during the first use, or gave users the option to disable them entirely.

Next, we smoothed out the transitions between steps.

After weighing, users no longer need to manually hit “back”—they’re taken straight to grinding. Same goes for the flow into brewing.

How Our Team Rebuilt the 4-in-1 Experience

This is the UI interaction diagram of our first-generation Gevi 4-in-1.

Through a detailed analysis of the brewing process and its underlying logic, we noticed that the interface contained an overwhelming number of instructional prompts and a cluttered selection layout.

From weighing the coffee grounds to initiating the brew, the entire workflow required approximately 18 separate clicks.

It’s understandable that some users felt the need to rewatch the tutorial video each time they used the machine.

Hear from our original 4-in-1 users

“Even after the year that I’ve owned it, I still have to watch the videos on how to program it. The UI just doesn’t make any sense to me.”
    — Reddit user

    But then they added:

“But the coffee that comes out will make an atheist believe in heaven.”
